The World Congress of Integrative Medicine, established in 1997 and hosted by the Chinese Association for Integrative Medicine, is a global academic grand event. Whether measured by the depth of its academic presentations or the breadth of its participating delegates, this congress has consistently remained at the forefront of the field, serving as a landmark event for global dialogue between traditional medicine and modern medicine.
As a "barometer" for global integrative medicine, the congress has consistently adhered to the core philosophy of “upholding traditions, innovating for the future, and pursuing integrative development.” It brings together top experts and scholars from home and abroad to engage in in-depth discussions on the latest advancements in basic research, clinical practice, and talent discovery. In recent years, the congress has been held annually, with the 12th edition successfully taking place in Changsha, Hunan Province, China, in 2024. This event attracted over 5,100 delegates from 17 countries and regions, received 3,895 academic paper submissions, and featured a record-breaking 1,244 poster presentations, fully demonstrating the vibrant vitality of integrative Chinese and Western medicine.
This congress will carry on its academic tradition and further promote the international development of integrative medicine. With the theme of “Digital and Intelligent Guidance: Integrative Medicine Safeguarding Health Across the Entire Lifespan,” the event will feature a plenary session and nine parallel sessions focusing including on renal diseases, digestive endoscopy, microcirculation, Chinese medicines, otorhinolaryngology, stem cells and regenerative medicine, chronic disease prevention and management, and vascular, meridian and collateral diseases. The congress aims to drive the deep integration of traditional and modern medicine, comprehensively showcase the latest research achievements in integrative medicine, delve into the application of cutting-edge technologies in multidisciplinary integration, promote the establishment and optimization of diagnostic and treatment norms for advantageous disease conditions, and further strengthen international cooperation in basic and clinical research, talent cultivation, and research achievement transformation. Ultimately, it seeks to contribute wisdom and strength to the construction of a global community of health for all.
